Artwork Description
It's so amazing to me that this is my most popular piece: this is an earlier work made during covid lockdown when I only had access to a cheap kids' set of a few colors and only one brush to paint with. I wanted to see how far I could stretch my materials and make something I was proud of. Of course I could have ordered supplies online, but sometimes you just get an urge and have to paint. When I look at this toucan, I'm reminded sometimes you have to seize the moment and make do with what you've got.
A disclaimer- many of my paintings are inspired by my travels in Hawaii. This is not one of them. Toco toucans, the largest of all toucans, hail from central South America. Now you know.
